New platform eases burden of repeat surveys on hospitals
Neuchâtel, 22.08.2025 — Developed by the Federal Statistical Office in collaboration with hospitals, cantons, insurers and other partners, a new platform aims to ease the administrative burden involved in data reporting. In the past, hospitals had to submit the same data separately to various recipients for purposes such as statistics, oversight, quality assurance, cantonal hospital planning, tariff negotiations and tariff system development. Now, thanks to SpiGes this information will only need to be provided once, in line with the “once-only principle”.
