Home moves in 2023 - Fall in the number of moves in 2023
Neuchâtel, 9.12.2024 - In 2023, 9.3% of the Swiss population moved home, slightly less than in 2022 (9.5%). Young adults were still the persons who changed accommodation most often. Occupants of single-family houses moved less often than occupants of multi-dwelling housing. The average distance moved was 13.5 km. These are some of the results from the Moving Statistics conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
